ISIS-Backed Rebels Attack Church in Congo, Killing 21
An armed attack by ISIS-affiliated rebels in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has killed at least 21 people.
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and the Associated Press, an attack by ISIS-backed militants on a church compound in eastern Congo resulted in at least 21 fatalities.
A local community leader confirmed the report. Further details about this deadly incident have not yet been released.
Earlier, in late July, armed members of the Allied Democratic Forces, who have pledged allegiance to ISIS, carried out a massacre that killed dozens of civilians in the Irumu area of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
