Train Derailment in Germany Claims Three Lives, Injures 34
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, German media reported on Sunday that a passenger train derailed in the Biberach area of southwestern Germany, killing at least three people and injuring 34 others.
Three of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The accident occurred approximately 136 kilometers west of Munich. No details has yet been released regarding the cause of the incident.
German police stated that the exact severity of all injuries remains unclear. The German news agency also confirmed multiple fatalities and numerous injuries from the crash.
Reports indicate that two carriages derailed while about 100 passengers were on board at the time.
Some sources say several high-ranking German officials plan to visit the scene.
Firefighters, police, and emergency medical teams are currently at the site conducting rescue operations.
