US Obstruction Targets Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Maalomah, Suhaila Al-Sultani, an Iraqi parliamentarian, emphasized that foreign interference led by the U.S. is blocking the passage of legislation concerning the Popular Mobilization Forces in parliament.
She added that efforts to approve this law have long faced significant obstructions. The United States is actively trying to prevent its enactment.
Notably, due to the critically important role that Popular Mobilization Forces played in defeating ISIS and dismantling terrorist groups supported by Washington, the U.S. seeks to dissolve this military body in Iraq.
Meanwhile, security operations carried out by the Popular Mobilization Forces against terrorists continue across Iraq.
