US Obstruction Targets Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces

according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Maalomah, Suhaila Al-Sultani, an Iraqi parliamentarian, emphasized that foreign‌ interference⁤ led⁣ by the ‍U.S. ⁣is blocking the passage of legislation concerning the Popular Mobilization Forces in parliament.

She added that efforts to approve this ⁢law have long faced significant obstructions. The United States is actively trying to prevent its enactment.

Notably, due ⁤to the​ critically important ⁤role that Popular Mobilization Forces played in defeating ISIS and ⁤dismantling terrorist groups supported by Washington, the U.S. seeks to​ dissolve this military ⁣body in Iraq.
