Trickling Aid to Gaza: 73 Trucks Arrive Instead of 1,000
While the Gaza Strip requires a daily entry of 1,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid, only 73 trucks entered the area yesterday.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News and Shihab, Husni Mahna, spokesperson for Gaza’s municipality, stated that yesterday’s humanitarian aid shipments amounted to just a drop in the ocean.
He added that this volume dose not meet the needs of Gaza’s residents by any means. “We require at least 1,000 trucks carrying humanitarian supplies into the Gaza Strip daily.”
Meanwhile, official sources in gaza reported that only 73 aid trucks entered the region yesterday.
It is worth noting that Israel has granted very limited permits for humanitarian aid to enter Gaza as part of an effort to improve its image and highlight this issue.
