UNRWA Hopes Thousands of Trucks Carrying Medicine and Food Will Enter Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sawt al-quds, UNRWA declared that opening all crossings and ensuring the influx of ample humanitarian aid are essential to stop the growing food insecurity in Gaza.
UNRWA emphasized that Gaza requires daily entry of 500 to 600 trucks loaded with critical supplies.
The agency reiterated its call for a long-term ceasefire in Gaza to alleviate widespread hunger and guarantee continuous delivery of vital aid.
UNRWA also expressed hope for permission to bring in thousands of trucks carrying food and medical supplies currently stationed in Jordan and Egypt.
Notably, hunger has escalated sharply across Gaza due to Israeli-imposed closures on border crossings and the severe blockade surrounding the Strip.
