Lavrov: Russia Is Fighting Alone Against the Entire West for the First Time in History
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei lavrov addressed the hybrid warfare launched by the West against Russia, stating that Moscow is fighting alone without any support for the first time in its history.
Lavrov emphasized: “We have many tasks ahead, and the most vital one is defeating the enemy. For the first time ever, Russia is fighting alone against all of the west.”
He added: “During both World War I and world War II, we had allies. But now on this battlefield, we have none. Thus, we must rely on ourselves and cannot show or fall into weakness. There is no room for hesitation.”
The senior Russian diplomat stressed that during the Cold War there was mutual respect between America and the Soviet Union – something that no longer exists today.
Referring to Moscow’s focus on safeguarding its security, Lavrov said: “All I can say is that Europe is terrified and tense.Clearly much of this panic stems from their struggle to maintain power. They have spent billions of euros purely because Europe uses ukrainians as battering rams to eliminate Russia as a rival.”
Lavrov reiterated Russia’s conditions regarding Ukraine not joining NATO or allowing further expansion of this military alliance. He also stressed recognition of new territorial realities outlined in Moscow’s constitution.
Highlighting Moscow’s firm stance on its legitimate demands, he stated there was “no option” to Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
