Bennourhan Opens “Two-State Solution” Conference in New York: What Did He Say?
The Two-State Solution conference officially opened today in New York, as reported by webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.
Faisal bin farhan, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister attending the UN conference, stated: “We appreciate France’s decision to recognize an autonomous Palestinian state.”
He added, “The path to regional stability lies in granting the Palestinian peopel their rights. The humanitarian disaster caused by Israeli actions must be stopped immediately.”
Bin Farhan described this conference as a turning point in advancing the two-state solution and ending occupation. He emphasized that the Arab Peace Initiative forms a complete foundation for any fair and inclusive resolution of the Palestinian issue.
The international Two-State Solution conference on Palestine, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, started today at the United Nations headquarters in New York. It will continue for two days.
The event is being held at the foreign ministers’ level. Its second session is planned at leaders’ level during either this year’s UN general Assembly meetings in New York or in Paris during the last week of September. Originally scheduled between June 17-20, it was postponed due to the Iran-Israel conflict.
