At a ‍conference in New York, the UN Secretary-General‌ called⁣ the extensive destruction in‍ Gaza unbearable and urged an immediate halt, without condemning ongoing crimes by Israeli ‌occupiers.

According⁢ to the‌ English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, United‌ Nations Secretary-general Antonio ‍Guterres spoke on Monday at the⁤ so-called two-state solution conference in New York.Without condemning ⁣ongoing crimes by Israeli⁤ occupiers against Gaza’s oppressed population, he stated that the current conflict destabilizes both the region and the ⁣world, and its resolution requires political will.

The Secretary-General emphasized: “The widespread destruction ⁢of Gaza is unbearable and must stop. ⁣The ‍annexation of the⁤ West Bank ⁣by israeli authorities must be‍ halted.⁣ The suffering⁤ caused by hunger,‍ killing‌ tens of thousands of civilians, escalating‍ settler ‌violence, and forced displacement must end.” He urged that this international conference become a turning‍ point toward ending occupation and‍ realizing‌ a two-state solution.
