According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, the Financial Times disclosed that the united States government under Donald Trump denied taiwan’s president permission to stop in New York during a trip to Paraguay due to protests from Beijing.
The report states that U.S. officials, pressured by China, refused to grant a stopover permit for the senior Taiwanese official. This move was seen at the time as Washington retreating in response to Beijing’s demands.
