Eighty Killed in Clashes Between Nigerian Army and Armed Groups
Western news sources report the deaths of 80 peopel in multiple clashes between the Nigerian army adn bandits in the country’s central region.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported based on United Nations experts’ accounts that the Nigerian army staged an ambush against a group of armed individuals known as “bandits.”
The exchange of fire resulted in 45 attackers and two Nigerian soldiers being killed.
Additionally, AFP reported on Monday that at least 33 hostages were killed in Zamfara state after their kidnappers received ransom payments.
