The deaths of these 40 Gaza residents occurred as london-based weekly The Economist reported that fatalities at food distribution centers in gaza during June increased more than eightfold compared to May.
The report attributes this alarming rise in casualties to the recent launch of the United States-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an organization newly established to manage aid distribution.

Satellite imagery and maps reveal that receiving humanitarian assistance in Gaza has become a deadly endeavor, according to the publication.
