Hunger Strike by Crew of Ship Seized by Zionist Regime
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Mohammed albakkali, an Al Jazeera correspondent, reported that Israeli security forces treated them harshly at Ashdod port.
He added that after Israeli soldiers transferred the Hanzala ship to Ashdod port, they initiated a hunger strike.
Yesterday,Howida Araaf,a lawyer on board the Hanzala ship,told Al Jazeera that they refused to give their word to Israeli authorities not to enter the gaza Strip again.
He further stated that Tel Aviv seized the ship in international waters.
Two days ago, Palestinian media outlets reported that following an attack by Israeli soldiers and the seizure of its crew members, the Hanzala ship was brought into Ashdod port.
The Israeli military attacked the Hanzala vessel belonging to the Freedom Fleet coalition. The ship had set sail from Italy on July 13 with the aim of breaking Gaza’s blockade. The Freedom Fleet Coalition announced that Israeli forces assaulted the vessel in international waters approximately 40 miles off Gaza’s coast.
