Inside Tel Aviv’s Moves to Expand the Southern Gaza Strip Crossing
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, while news outlets report on Israel’s expansion of the kerem Abu Salem crossing for inspecting humanitarian aid shipments from Egypt and facilitating visits by various delegations into Gaza, a reporter from the Hebrew-language site Walla disclosed that this move aims to lay groundwork for expelling palestinians from the strip.
The reporter added that Kerem Abu Salem is located in southern Gaza, just a few hundred meters from the tri-border area between Egypt, Gaza, and Israeli-occupied territories. Growth work on this crossing is currently underway.
The report states that this project began in April 2024 and is set to be completed within three months.
