Netanyahu Unveils New Plan to Occupy Gaza

Israeli sources report that‍ Netanyahu has proposed a new plan ‍to occupy Gaza during the regime’s security cabinet meeting, aiming to ⁣prevent the cabinet’s collapse.

According to the English⁤ section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Nashra, the Israeli website Walla reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, introduced a new approach for operations‌ in Gaza ⁤at a security cabinet meeting in Tel Aviv.

Earlier, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Netanyahu plans to present a proposal to the small political and security cabinet involving⁢ the gradual annexation of parts of the Gaza ⁢Strip. According to this plan, Netanyahu aims to retain ‍Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich-who threatened to leave the cabinet if an agreement with Hamas is reached-and thus prevent its collapse.

Haaretz also states that this plan ‍gives Hamas several days to agree on a ceasefire deal. If Hamas rejects it, Israel ⁤will gradually begin occupying and annexing areas⁤ of Gaza into ⁢its territory.
