UN Official: I Can No Longer Recognize the Faces of My Friends in Gaza
OCHA Spokesperson Highlights Deteriorating humanitarian Situation and worsening Famine in Gaza Strip.
The spokesperson for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) emphasized that no words can fully capture the depth of pain and sorrow regarding Gaza.
He added, “I do not recognize my friends’ faces when I visit them because they have become extremely thin and emaciated due to severe hunger in Gaza.”
The UN official stated that many people have been transferred to hospitals due to extreme weakness. The situation is rapidly deteriorating.
This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously denied the existence of famine in the Gaza Strip in a brazen statement.
