Two Israeli Ministers Respond to Dutch Measures Against Them
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, reacted to the Netherlands’ ban on him and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich from entering the country by stating, “In Europe, the roles of oppressor and victim are being reversed!”
Smotrich claimed that “the Netherlands and Europe in general have not been safe for Jews” and pointed to a rise in anti-Semitism across thes countries. He added, “I dedicate my life to Israel’s security!”
Neither minister addressed the full political and military support European countries provide to Israel amid the ongoing Gaza genocide.
The Dutch government decided on new measures against Tel Aviv following an emergency meeting.
The government proposed banning Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar ben-Gvir from entering the country due to their extreme political positions.
Additionally,the Dutch Foreign Minister summoned Israel’s ambassador for explanations regarding the critical situation in Gaza.
