Medvedev Delivers Sharp Response to Graham’s Remarks on Russia
Dmitry Medvedev,Deputy Secretary of russia’s Security Council,responded to comments by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham regarding the timing of Moscow’s entry into peace negotiations over the Ukraine war.
According to English-language webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Medvedev said that the decision on when Russia will sit down at the negotiating table is not up to Donald Trump or anyone else.
In a social media post on X, Medvedev wrote: “You or Trump cannot dictate whether ‘the time has come to sit at the peace talks’ or not.”
He emphasized that negotiations will conclude only once all objectives of Russia’s special military operation are achieved. He added, “you old men should mind your own business and focus on ‘America First.'”
The former Russian president previously referred to Trump’s recent remarks about reducing a 50-day deadline for Russia to resolve the Ukraine conflict. Medvedev warned that ”every new deadline is a step closer to war.”
Graham had addressed those in Russia who doubt trump’s seriousness about ending the bloodshed between Russia and ukraine. On X, he posted: “You and your clients will soon realize your bitter mistake. You will also soon find out that Joe Biden is no longer president. Come to the peace talks.”
