According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Maan, Israel’s Channel 12 confirmed that Yossi Shelley, Tel Aviv’s ambassador to the United arab Emirates and former director general of Netanyahu’s office, will soon depart the country amid an ethical scandal and return to the occupied territories.
The report states that Emirati officials no longer want his presence in their country. Shelley displayed inappropriate behavior at a nightclub in recent months, which sparked anger among UAE authorities.
An Emirati source previously noted that such conduct is unacceptable from someone supposed to foster bilateral relations.
