8.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Russia; China and Peru Issue Tsunami Warnings

According to the English section of webangah‌ News Agency,citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,following a powerful earthquake in eastern Russia,tsunami warnings were issued not only ‌by the United States,Japan,the Philippines,and Indonesia but ⁤also by Peru and China.

Chinese⁣ authorities recently warned of a potential tsunami ⁤along the country’s eastern coast.

Early today, the research branch of the Russian ⁢academy⁣ of⁢ Sciences reported​ that an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.5 struck near the Kamchatka Peninsula coast.

The center emphasized that such an earthquake is rare and remarkable.

CNN reported that⁤ this quake is the strongest recorded worldwide since ‍2011.

The network also warned of tsunami ⁤risks along the western coasts⁣ of Canada and the United States extending down to Mexico following this event.
