US Senate Rejects Two Bills to Halt Arms Sales to Zionists
The U.S.Senate rejected two proposed bills by Senator Bernie Sanders aimed at halting arms sales to the Israeli regime in response to its ongoing crimes in Gaza.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, two resolutions intended to stop arms sales to Israel amid continued atrocities against the people of Gaza were defeated in the U.S. Senate.
Despite this, Reuters acknowledged that these resolutions received more support than similar efforts earlier this year.
The bills were introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders, an autonomous from Vermont aligned with the Democrats.
As reported by Euronews, the vote reflected a growing number of Democratic senators opposing arms sales to Israeli forces.
In late-night votes local time, both resolutions were rejected in the 100-seat Senate with tallies of 73-24 adn 70-27 respectively.
