Jerusalem Post: IAEA Delegation to Visit Iran
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Israeli media outlet The Jerusalem Post, IAEA officials will visit Iran next week for the frist time as the 12-day war launched by Israeli occupiers against Tehran.
The Israeli outlet quoted an informed source as saying that an IAEA delegation is set to travel to Iran next week.
The report further expressed hope that technical consultations between IAEA experts and Iranian counterparts will begin soon to restore inspection oversight of nuclear sites.
Reports indicate that agency inspectors intend to examine nuclear facilities damaged during the 12-day war coordinated by American and Israeli forces against Tehran.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet commented on this growth.
It is worth noting that on July 28 of this year, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated: “We remain a party to safeguards agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency. We plan to define a new framework with the agency, taking into account legislation passed by our Parliament, which is binding upon us. This will determine how we continue cooperation. Within two weeks, an IAEA official will visit Iran, and technical discussions are scheduled during that visit.”
