Joint Statement by 14 Countries Against Iran Prompted by Canada
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and ABC News, Canada and the United States, together with several NATO members, released a joint statement continuing their hostile actions against Tehran. They condemned what they described as “increasing threats from iranian intelligence services.”
The statement accused Iran-without providing any evidence-of opposing efforts to prevent “assassinations, kidnappings, and harassment” of citizens in North America and Canada. It claimed these countries stand united against such activities.
The declaration was signed by the governments of Canada, Albania, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom-and the United States.
It did not refer to any specific incident but insisted that these alleged attacks violate national sovereignty. The signatories urged Iranian authorities to instantly halt what they termed unlawful actions.
Ismail Baqaei Maleki, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected security allegations made by the U.S., France and other Western nations. He stated: “The U.S., France and other countries signing this anti-Iranian statement are supporters and hosts of terrorist and violent groups and must be held accountable for their violations of international law in backing terrorism.”
He emphasized that “these accusations are blatant fabrications intended as part of a malicious campaign of Iranophobia aimed at exerting pressure on the Iranian nation. Such conduct violates international law principles and UN Charter obligations. The countries endorsing this statement must answer for their improper and irresponsible behavior.”
