German Foreign Minister Urges Tel Aviv to Stop Settler Attacks on Palestinians

germany’s Foreign Minister, during a visit to a village east of Ramallah in the west Bank, called on Tel Aviv to comply with international law and ⁤prosecute aggressive settlers.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr⁣ News agency and Al-Shorouk, Germany’s Foreign Minister ‍Johann Wadephul described attacks by israeli settlers on West Bank areas as organized‌ terrorism during his visit to the village of al-Taybeh east of Ramallah.

He stated that settler attacks against the ⁢residents of al-Taybeh and othre⁤ regions‌ are not isolated ‍incidents but represent organized terrorism and crimes against civilians that must be investigated and stopped.

The German foreign ⁣minister also expressed his government’s concern over reports suggesting that the Israeli military either fails to prevent these ‍assaults or may even be ⁢complicit in them.

Wadephul urged Tel Aviv to adhere to international laws, ‍hold violent settlers accountable, and protect‍ Palestinian citizens.

He further identified settlement expansion as a significant obstacle to achieving a two-state solution and restricting Palestinian freedom of movement. He stressed the need for effective legislation to deter settler violence.

Notably, on July 28, israeli settlers attacked al-Taybeh by setting fire to two vehicles and writing racist slogans on ‍house walls.
