Earlier, ⁢President Trump said that nonetheless ⁣of how these sanctions effect Russia, he would implement them after a 10-day deadline for ending the war ⁣in Ukraine expires.

Trump said: “We are going to impose sanctions. I don’t know if these sanctions ‌will hurt him [Vladimir Putin]. They know about these sanctions. I understand sanctions and tariffs better than anyone else. ‌I don’t know if they will have any effect or not, but we intend to do it.”

He added: “But this is a war ⁢that shoudl never have happened.⁢ If I were president, this war wouldn’t have started. This is Biden’s war – ⁢a ⁣foolish war we should never have entered.”
