Russia: Attack on Iran After Resolution Passed Under Troika Pressure Was No Accident
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency via TASS, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, stated that Israel’s attacks on Iran occurring one day after a UN anti-Iran resolution were no coincidence. He called the positions of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany against Tehran entirely illogical.
Ulyanov described the European Troika’s stance toward Iran as completely irrational and ambiguous.
“The European position is confusing and raises many questions,” he said. ”Their actions have been wholly illogical, continuing since 2022 when final steps on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of action (JCPOA) concerning Iran’s nuclear program were blocked.”
The Russian diplomat added: “I do not believe that Israel’s attacks one day after adopting an E3-backed anti-Iran resolution were merely coincidental.”
He emphasized: “Although Europeans deny any connection to these attacks publicly, thay are implicitly creating an habitat that allows such actions to become a stark reality.”
