US, France, and UK Renew Allegations Against Iran’s Nuclear Program
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, the U.S. State Department released a statement early Tuesday confirming that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in separate calls with his French and British counterparts, reaffirmed the joint commitment of Washington, Paris, and London to prevent what has been alleged as Tehran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.
The statement from the U.S. State Department reads: “Rubio and his European counterparts agree on the necessity to prevent Iran from developing or acquiring nuclear weapons.”
The report adds that regional issues-including a ceasefire in Gaza and developments in the Strip, efforts to halt conflicts in Sudan, and ending the war in Ukraine-were also key topics discussed by Rubio with his French and British counterparts.
