Egypt Proposes Plan to Control Gaza’s Security Situation After War

Hebrew-language media have highlighted Egypt’s plan to manage security in the gaza Strip following the establishment of a ceasefire in the enclave.

According to webangah News ‍Agency’s English section,⁤ citing Mehr ‌News Agency and Russia ⁢Today, Hebrew-language media reported that Egypt is training hundreds of Palestinians to take control of ‍security in⁣ Gaza after a ceasefire is ⁤achieved.

The report ‌states‍ that⁤ Cairo has developed a comprehensive plan to assume control over Gaza. Recently, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry announced his country’s detailed ‍plan for managing Gaza’s situation once a ceasefire is established.

The media further noted that Arab and international countries support Egypt’s plan, viewing‍ it as ‌beneficial for the Palestinian Authority. The proposal includes ​a six-month transitional phase with the⁤ formation of a civilian​ government, followed by ‍a ‍five-year reconstruction period for Gaza. It also involves deploying international peacekeeping forces within​ the enclave.
