Algerian Representative: Ignorance or Silence Cannot Justify the Gaza Genocide
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Ammar Ben Jamaa, Algeria’s representative at the United Nations, stated during a Security Council meeting that the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza clearly amount to genocide. He emphasized that the world cannot overlook these atrocities through silence or ignorance.”What is happening in Gaza is genocide,” he said. “No ignorance or silence can justify this crime.”
He added that an immediate and unconditional ceasefire must be established in Gaza. He also remarked that Israeli prisoners should not still be detained-assuming the occupying regime has not violated any ceasefire agreements.
The Algerian envoy continued by affirming that what is demanded for the Palestinian people applies equally to all nations: access to food is a worldwide right.
He noted that it is this very occupying regime-one that has cut off water and food supplies to Gaza and denied famine exists there-that has now called for a Security Council meeting.
