Security Measures Enforced in Samarra to Protect Arbaeen Pilgrims
The Federal Police Command in Samarra, Salah al-Din province, has launched a preventive security operation to protect Arbaeen pilgrims, according to webangah News Agency.
Ahmed Hatem, commander of the Samarra region within the Federal Police of Iraq, stated that all necessary security measures have been implemented to safeguard pilgrims visiting the shrines of Imam Hadi and Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon them), as well as Sayyid muhammad (peace be upon him).
He added that forces are deployed across all routes to secure key roads connecting Baghdad-Samarra and Al-Sindiya-Samarra and facilitate vehicular access for all pilgrims.
Major General Hatem noted that members of Hashed al-Shaabi, Federal Police, local police, and other security agencies are participating in this operation.
he further explained that preventive inspections have been conducted throughout surrounding areas prior to implementing the security plan. So far, no incidents have been reported and operations continue.
