Zelensky Reveals Phone Call with Trump
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and UN News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Wednesday that he held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump. The conversation followed a visit by Witkoff, Trump’s representative, to Moscow.
Zelensky stated: “Our joint position with our partners is clear: the war must end,and it must be a sincere end.” European leaders also took part in the discussions, and he expressed gratitude for each leader’s support. He added that they exchanged views on what had been declared in Moscow.
The Ukrainian president continued: “Ukraine will firmly defend its independence. We all need a stable and reliable peace. Russia must end the war it initiated. I thank all those who support Ukraine.”
This statement came just hours after it was reported that the presidents of the United States and Ukraine spoke by phone.
