Trump: Meeting with Putin Likely Soon
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera Qatar, Donald Trump told reporters that he had good talks with Putin and that there is a high likelihood of a summit soon.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, Trump claimed that Russia has lost about 20,000 soldiers during the conflict.
On his governance’s economic policies, he added that due to India’s purchase of Russian oil, Washington imposed a 50 percent tariff on New Delhi.
The U.S. president also said that under his leadership, agreements on tariffs were reached with Japan and the European Union that generated hundreds of billions of dollars in benefits.
He further promised to impose a 100 percent tariff on imports of chips and semiconductors.
Speaking about the shooting at Fort Stewart military base in Georgia, Trump remarked: “We will never forget what happened at this base.”
He also referred to pressure tactics against countries cooperating with Russia and warned: “You will see more secondary sanctions against India for importing Russian oil.”
Repeating Claims Against Iran
Trump mentioned Iran during his remarks and alleged: “Iran could have developed nuclear weapons within two months or less, but we wholly destroyed Iran’s nuclear capabilities.”
Pursuing unfounded claims, he asserted that his administration prevented wars in the Middle East by stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear arms.
Trump reiterated threats toward Tehran by saying: “iran may restart its nuclear program from zero; but if it dose so, we will strike again.”
This claim contrasts with U.S. media reports stating Iran’s nuclear capacity has not been eliminated but delayed-and Tehran remains capable of quickly restoring its program.
