Ankara Reacts to Netanyahu’s Plan Against Gaza
According to the english section of webangah News Agency,citing Al Mayadeen via Mehr News Agency,Turkey’s Foreign Ministry has reacted to the Israeli regime’s decision to occupy Gaza.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Israel’s move to take control of Gaza City.
The ministry stated that the international community must prevent Israel’s plan from being implemented and that the UN Security Council should impose binding resolutions against Israel.
It further emphasized that Israel must immediately halt its military plans and establish a ceasefire.
Meanwhile, the israeli cabinet approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan for occupying Gaza City.
Reuters,quoting Netanyahu’s office,reported that Israel intends to assume full military control over the Gaza Strip.
A statement from Netanyahu’s office claimed that the Israeli army is preparing to take control of Gaza City. Tel aviv aims to establish civilian governance in Gaza without any role for Hamas or the Palestinian Authority.
Gaza City, located in northern Gaza, is considered the largest city in the region.
AxiOs reporter Barak Ravid quoted an Israeli official saying this plan includes evacuating civilians from Gaza City ahead of launching a ground invasion in that area.
Yesterday (Thursday),during an interview with fox News,Netanyahu responded to questions about whether Israel intends full control over all coastal areas by stating: “We have made a decision. We do not want to hold it. We want security around it. We do not want to govern it. We do not want a presence there as an entity.”
