After Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced his intention to ‌occupy Gaza, Australia⁣ urged Israel ⁤not to pursue this course of action.

Australian ​Foreign Minister Penny Wong said on Friday that Australia calls on Israel not to follow ⁢a path​ that would worsen⁤ the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. She emphasized that permanent forced displacement violates international law.
