Central Committee Member of the National Front for the Liberation of Palestine Killed in Lebanon
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Manar, a senior official from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine stated that Abu Khalil Washah, a member of the front’s central committee, and his companion were assassinated in Lebanon.
The Israeli army recently launched a new wave of airstrikes in southern Lebanon. These attacks continue Israel’s aggressive policy against Lebanese territory and have raised concerns about escalating tensions and wider conflict.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that an airstrike carried out by Israel last night targeted the town of Deir Siriane in Marjeyoun district, southern Lebanon. The strike killed one person and injured two others.
The ministry added that the deceased was a Syrian national.
This news follows local reports from Wednesday night stating that an Israeli airstrike hit areas around Zotr al-Sharqieh village in Nabatieh district, also located in southern Lebanon.
