Female ISIS Member Captured by Iraqi Forces
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Iraq’s Wa’a news agency, Iraqi sources have confirmed the detention of the official in charge of distributing assets among ISIS members in Salahuddin province.
The Military Intelligence directorate of Iraq announced on Friday that the detainee, a woman, played a key role in securing and allocating financial resources to ISIS operatives. Her arrest deals a serious blow to the terrorist group’s financial support network in the region.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts by iraqi security agencies to identify and dismantle remaining elements of ISIS and cut off their funding channels.
It is noteworthy that Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), alongside other Iraqi security forces, continue conducting operations against ISIS elements across Iraq.
