UN Reacts to Israeli Regime’s Plan to Occupy Gaza
The United Nations has raised alarms over the potential for massive human suffering in Gaza, including possible famine that would worsen if the conflict escalates. Despite repeated warnings about the growing humanitarian crisis in the besieged Gaza strip, the Israeli occupation government’s cabinet decision to extend control over Gaza City and fully occupy the Strip has sparked widespread international condemnation.
The UN highlighted extensive damage inflicted on civilian residents of Gaza,noting that this destruction has resulted in approximately 60,000 Palestinian deaths over the past two years.
The organization also expressed its opposition to any further escalation of hostilities in Gaza.
Simultaneously occurring, Farhan haq cautioned that expanding military operations could bring about unprecedented levels of starvation and hardship for civilians.
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned Israel’s decision to reoccupy all of Gaza and forcibly displace nearly one million Palestinians.
