Mossad Chief Joins Netanyahu Opponents
Media reports reveal opposition from the head of Israel’s internal Security Council and Mossad chief to the plan for Gaza occupation.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Tzachi Hanegbi, head of Israel’s internal Security Council, and the director of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad expressed their opposition to the Gaza occupation plan during a war cabinet meeting.
The meeting exposed deep divisions and verbal clashes among participants over this proposal. hanegbi warned that implementing the plan would endanger the lives of Israeli captives.
It is indeed noteworthy that his dissent is rare against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s position.
The Mossad chief also emphasized the importance of continuing negotiations with Hamas regarding a prisoner exchange agreement.
