Lebanon’s Christian Movement Leader Warns of Regional Country Fragmentation
Suleiman Frangieh, leader of Lebanon’s Christian Al-Murabitoun movement, cautioned against rushing discussions on the country’s weapon monopoly. He stressed that such haste could have serious consequences.
Frangieh added that certain individuals, particularly ambassadors from some countries, are acting according to specific plans whose interests align with those of the zionist regime. He warned that continuing these actions would ultimately undermine countries across the region.
He also referenced Syria’s current situation, highlighting attacks targeting minorities and the risk of its fragmentation. These events have taken place along Syria’s coastal areas, Suwayda province, and Kurdish regions.
Frangieh said this dangerous trend could perhaps extend to Lebanon as well.
Notably, Lebanon’s cabinet approval of disarming resistance forces sparked widespread criticism. Many questioned why this issue is being raised while Israeli attacks against Lebanon persist.
