Warning Issued Over Tel Aviv’s Plan for Eastern Lebanon
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Akhbar, security sources warned that the Zionist regime, located 20 kilometers from the Lebanon-Syria border, is likely planning to move toward the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon. They intend to establish checkpoints similar to those in the five occupied areas in southern Lebanon.
The sources added that this plan aims to separate Bekaa from other Lebanese regions due to its strategic importance for resistance forces.
They emphasized that, in addition, Israel seeks to provoke armed Syrian groups near the shared border with Lebanon while continuing its ground incursions into Lebanese territory. The United States reportedly supports and does not oppose this scenario.
This comes as the Lebanese government pursues disarming the resistance instead of working to halt Israeli aggressions against its land.
