India Shoots Down Five Pakistani Fighter Jets in May Clashes

The Chief of the Indian Air Force stated that his country shot down five Pakistani fighter jets adn one other military aircraft during the May clashes.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing ‌Mehr News Agency via Russia Today, India announced ⁢today, Saturday, that it had downed six Pakistani military aircraft in the May confrontations, including five fighter jets.

The report identified ⁣Air Chief‌ Marshal V.P. Singh as making these remarks at an event in Bangalore in southern India.

He said ⁢most of the Pakistani planes were brought down by Russian-made S-400 surface-to-air missile systems.

The indian Air Chief added, “We shot down at ‌least five fighters and one large aircraft.”

He further explained that the large⁤ aircraft was likely a reconnaissance ‍plane and was destroyed from a distance of 300 kilometers.

So far, Pakistan has not issued any statement‍ regarding this matter.
