Eight European Countries Condemn Escalation of Attacks on Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, foreign ministers from eight European countries-including Spain, Norway, Ireland, and Portugal-issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s decision to escalate its assaults on the Gaza Strip.
The statement warned that this move by israel exacerbates the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and puts prisoners’ lives at greater risk.
They affirmed that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the State of Palestine, which also includes the west Bank and East Jerusalem.
The European foreign ministers declared that increased military attacks and occupation of Gaza City pose a serious obstacle to implementing a two-state solution and endanger the peace process further.
The ministers opposed demographic changes in occupied Palestine and condemned such measures as violations of international law.
