Ryabkov: Russia Considers Lack of Nuclear Arms Control Dangerous
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RIA Novosti, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated on Sunday that American systems are increasingly deploying in emerging regions that directly impact Russia’s security.
The deputy minister added that every action Russia takes regarding weapons deployment is a response to moves by the United States and its allies. He noted that signs of common sense in U.S.-Russia relations are reemerging after years of absence.
Ryabkov further emphasized that beyond the Avangard systems, Russia possesses other advanced weapons.the risk of nuclear conflict worldwide remains high. Following the expiration of the New START treaty, Russia views the lack of nuclear arms control as a serious threat.
