UK: Israel’s Decision to Occupy Gaza Is a Mistake
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, the UK Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN spoke on Sunday during a Security Council session concerning the ongoing crisis in gaza and continued crimes by Israeli occupiers against the oppressed population of this strip.
He warned that Israel’s current escalation in Gaza coudl displace nearly one million people.
The official added that scattered aid efforts are insufficient. Israel must lift restrictions on humanitarian assistance to gaza. It should not obstruct humanitarian organizations from delivering aid through arbitrary measures. He stressed that Israel’s decision regarding occupying Gaza is mistaken, and called on Tel Aviv to promptly reconsider expanding its military operations there.
