The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reports that Reuters has issued a breaking news alert about a major earthquake in Turkey.
According to Reuters, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake shook Turkey. It was strongly felt in Istanbul as well.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey (AFAD) stated that the 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Balıkesir and was also felt in several cities, including Istanbul.
There have been no further reports yet on possible damage or casualties from the quake.
