Putin Holds Talks with Tajikistan President
The Kremlin announced that the Russian president held a phone call with his Tajik counterpart regarding Moscow-Washington contacts and his upcoming meeting with Trump in Alaska.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti, the Kremlin announced on Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with Tajik president Emomali Rahmon about recent Russia-US contacts, including the recent discussion with special envoy Wess Mitchell, and also Putin’s imminent meeting with Donald Trump in Alaska.
The Kremlin statement added that during the call, the Tajik president voiced support for efforts to resolve the long-term crisis in Ukraine.
Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov had previously confirmed that Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump would meet on August 15 in Alaska.
