Opposition Parties Respond to Netanyahu’s Recent Press Statements
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, Israeli officials have responded to recent remarks made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Yair Lapid, leader of the Israeli opposition, described the event as not a press conference but a disastrous spectacle from a failed prime minister.
He added that what Netanyahu proposed amounts to the death of prisoners.
Lapid stated that netanyahu leads an illegal minority goverment and is fully incompetent in managing it.
He also said that occupying Gaza poses a threat to Israel and its security and serves no purpose.
Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the “Israel Our Home” party, also reacted sharply to Netanyahu’s statements. He accused Netanyahu of shamelessly lying and sacrificing prisoners to maintain his coalition.
In today’s press briefing, Netanyahu once again denied accusations that Israel has created famine in Gaza and presented false statistics regarding aid provided to its people.
The prime minister said he would not set a timeline for operations in Gaza. He emphasized that his goal is to end the war there and is coordinating with U.S. President Donald Trump on this matter.
