Netanyahu and Trump Discuss Gaza in Phone Call
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al Jazeera, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. president Donald Trump spoke by phone.
Netanyahu’s office announced that the two leaders discussed israel’s plan to control Hamas bases in Gaza during the call.
The report stated that Netanyahu thanked Trump for his support of Israel since the start of the conflict in Gaza.
This phone conversation took place shortly after the Israeli cabinet approved Netanyahu’s proposal to occupy Gaza city two days earlier.
According to reports, the Israeli military is preparing to take over control of Gaza City. Netanyahu’s plan, which has drawn international criticism, aims for civilian governance in Gaza under Tel Aviv’s authority-excluding Hamas and the Palestinian Authority from any role.
