Israeli Officials Continue to Worry Over Western Support for Yahya Sinwar
Western enthusiasm for the name of martyr Yahya al-Sinwar, former leader of the Hamas movement in Gaza, has raised concerns among Israeli officials.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, stated that the growing popularity of the name Yahya al-Sinwar in Europe demands that they stay strong and united to defeat Hamas in Gaza.
Recent reports from English media revealed that “Yahya” ranked as the 33rd most popular name for newborn boys in England in 2024.
Yahya al-Sinwar was the head of Hamas’s political bureau who faced occupying forces on the battlefield last year and was martyred with honor.
