the Gaza government media office, cited by the English section of webangah News Agency quoting Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, announced that the Israeli regime assassinated five journalists, including Anas Al-Sharif and Muhammad Qariqa, two reporters from Al Jazeera, near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
The office stated that since the war on Gaza began 22 months ago, 237 journalists have been killed.
It added that targeting journalists and media centers is a full-scale war crime committed by the Israeli regime aimed at silencing the voice of truth and erasing evidence of mass atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza.
the Gaza government media office held Israel, the United States government, and all governments involved in collective Palestinian killings fully responsible for these organized crimes against reporters and journalists.
Hours earlier, an Israeli drone strike hit a press tent near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. The attack killed prominent Al Jazeera reporters Muhammad Qariqa and Anas Al-Sharif.
The strike also caused fatalities or injuries to two cameramen named Ibrahim Zahir and Muhammad Nofal along with several others.
Following the assault on journalist headquarters in Gaza, the Israeli military claimed that Anas Al-Sharif was a member of Hamas and was targeted because of this very reason.
