US National Guard Quietly Deployed to Capital
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, two informed sources report that the U.S. military plans to place hundreds of National Guard members in Washington, D.C., on standby.
The final decision remains with President Donald Trump, but the troops are ready for deployment.
One anonymous source told Reuters that it is not yet clear why these forces would be sent to Washington. However,their presence could aim to protect federal personnel or carry out executive duties intended to reduce federal responsibility.
Yesterday, Trump escalated his stance toward homeless populations in Washington by promising to remove them from the capital adn imprison criminals.
He wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social: “The homeless must be moved instantly.We will provide you with housing-but outside the capital. And as for criminals: you don’t need relocation; we will put you in jail-where you belong.”
